Discovering Domaine FL

Discovering Domaine FL

In the heart of the vineyards

Located on the heights of Rochefort sur Loire in Maine-et-Loire (49), Domaine FL extends over nearly 43 hectares on either side of the Loire River on terroirs whose history dates back to the 13th century.

Passionate about wine, Philip Fournier created his wine estate in the heart of the Anjou region in 2006. He pays tribute to his parents by associating their names: Fournier and Longchamps.

Julien Fournier, supported by his team, took over the reins of Domaine FL in 2009.

Great wines of the Loire

All the wines are organically grown and follow the principles of biodynamics. Our priority is to preserve and respect biodiversity while encouraging the development of the vine.

Composed mainly of metamorphic rocks, our rich and diverse subsoil allows us to produce complex and aromatic wines.

Domaine FL represents 7 appellations: Savennières, Roche aux Moines, Anjou Blanc, Anjou Villages, Coteau du Layon, Coteaux du Layon 1er Cru Chaume and Quarts de Chaume Grand Cru. Each cuvée bears the name of its parcel and expresses its own terroir.

The grapes are harvested by hand in order to obtain grapes of a very high quality. No malolactic fermentation is carried out on the white wines, thus allowing them to retain a rich expression of aromas during tasting and a very important ageing potential.

Our vintages to be found at CAVAVIN, the nearest to you

Savennières – AOP Savennières – 2019

Perfect for a simple pleasure, this Savennières is surprisingly smooth and lively. Ideal with fish dishes in summer, it can also be an elegant accompaniment to a porcini omelette. An enchanting bouquet of exotic fruits and citrus fruits.

La Frémine – AOC Savennières – 2018

Frémine is the perfect accompaniment to seaside gastronomy. A fine nose as well as in the mouth, very round, the most elegant expression of our chenins.

The bouquet is adorned with notes of white flowers and lime.

Le Chaume 1er Cru – AOC Coteaux du Layon 1er Cru Chaume – 2020

On these soils, botrytisation occurs earlier than elsewhere, giving Chaume 1er Cru a deep golden yellow colour, aromas of honey and acacia, fresh fruit and candied fruit (pineapple, apricot, quince) and a round, supple palate with a hint of vivacity.
