Located in Tavel, the Lafond estate is a family history that has been passed down from generation to generation. In 1780, Pascal Odoyer, Jean-Pierre Lafond's uncle, governor of Tavel, became a forerunner in the wine industry.
The family story began in 1970 when Jean-Pierre Lafond decided to create the present winery. Passionate about horses, he took the name of a famous equine trotter "Roquepine" to name his winery. He added a Provençal note to it, giving birth to the "Domaine Lafond Roc-Epine".
Following the arrival of his son Pascal, Jean-Pierre Lafond and his son decided to market the estate's wines together in bottles.
In 2001, the estate expanded into the Rhône Valley and the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation.
The domain began its organic conversion in 2009. They gave up pesticides, herbicides and other synthetic products. The vines are now protected only by natural elements such as sulphur and copper.
After 3 years of conversion, the Lafond Roc-Epine Estate has gone over to organic farming for the entire property.

This red wine is a very pleasant wine with aromas of ripe fruit, cherries, blackcurrant and undergrowth. On the palate, it is very velvety with a good concentration. A beautiful bottle full of roundness and charm.
The dominant aromas are complex, with red and white fruits combined with floral notes. Over time, these fruity aromas evolve towards softer notes, with hints of spices and stone fruits.
This red wine has a complex nose of cinnamon, cooked fruit and morello cherries. It is a supple and rich wine with a very good length. Ideal for accompanying cold meats, meats or cheeses.
A pretty and fresh marriage. We find in the bottle a lot of fruit, aromas of lime blossom and white flowers, very citrus flavours bringing a frank vivacity.
A well-balanced wine with a rare finesse. After an ample, firm and fruity attack, the palate expresses vanilla and pepper nuances which persist until the finish. It is a supple and rich wine with a very good length.

It is a perfect accompaniment to cheeses such as goat's cheese or blue cheese, white meats and poultry in sauce.
