Food and wine pairing special Father's Day

Surprise your dad on his birthday by combining Asian cuisine and French wine!

The aromas of black fruit and morello cherry as well as the fine roasting notes of the Château du Vieux Parc's "Selection" cuvée will go perfectly with the juicy and aromatic side of the chicken wok with vegetables.

 

Chicken Wok with Vegetables and Sesame Recipe

Recipe requires 25 minutes to prepare, 20 minutes to cook and 1 hour to rest.

For 4 people, you'll need:

- 1 wok

- 400 grams of chicken needles

- 2 carrots

- 3 peppers, one of each colour

- 1 zucchini

- 1 large handful of peas

- 2 red onions

- 2 cloves of garlic

- 1 spring onion

- A little pepper.

- Soy sauce

- Sesame oil and some sesame seeds

 

Step one.

Marinate your chicken with 7 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of sesame oil. Cover this in a bag and place this mixture in the fridge for 1 hour.

 

Step two.

It's time to peel the carrots, onions, spring onions and garlic. Then wash all the vegetables you need to make this delicious recipe. Cut the zucchini into not too fine pieces and do the same for the carrots. Trim the peppers and peas finely. Finish by slicing the red onions, spring onion and garlic.

 

Step three.

Place a tablespoon of sesame oil in your wok. Cook the peppers over medium heat for a few minutes, then add the zucchini, peas, red onions and garlic. Once the vegetables are still slightly crunchy, add the soy sauce and finish cooking.

 

Step four.

In your wok, remove the vegetables and fry your marinated chicken directly over medium heat with a little pepper. At the end of cooking, add the vegetables on top and mix well.

 

Five and final step.

Just before serving, don't forget to sprinkle the vegetable chicken wok with a few sesame seeds.
